Compounder I is responsible for ensuring materials are accurately weighed and documented for manufacturing precise compounds. This position requires extreme attention to detail of tares / weights / lot numbers / inventory controls / quality and safety. Compounder I role also partners with the Compounder II role to successfully weigh and stage materials, while also assisting Compounder II with tasks for their next batches.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Supply, weigh, verify and return raw materials to and from weigh stations
  • Follow procedures and promote a safety and quality-based environment
  • Maintain clean room work environment within the weigh area and compounding floor
  • Be responsible for the accurate recording of material inventory and location
  • Assist Compounder II role with activities as needed
  • Assist in pre-staging raw materials for weighing and for batching
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualification requirements

  • High School Degree
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 1-5 years of experience with compounding equipment and bench/analytical scales preferred
  • Flexible to work different shifts to meet deadlines
  • Ability to sit, walk, and move around for several hours
  • Ability to work as a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SAP / FDA /cGMP or another inventory database systems a plus
  • Must effectively operate forklift (will be trained)
  • Must be familiar with general warehousing.
  • Must be able to lift, pull, push up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be willing to work scheduled hours, and available for OT when necessary.
