The AWS Americas (AMER) Cost Control team seeks a passionate and motivated construction cost engineer to support our Data Center Construction projects. The ideal candidate possesses:

Key job responsibilities
• Utilize tools and templates for bid analysis and cost management
• Engage and manage third-party Quantity Surveyor vendors
• Work seamlessly with multi-disciplinary teams globally
• Communicate cost control goals effectively to all stakeholders
• Identify and quantify Value Engineering opportunities in design
• Assess project risks and their financial impacts
• Update historical data repository
• Define and track cost performance metrics
• Analyze Construction vendor proposals using AWS benchmark data
• Create accurate bid leveling documents
• Provide cost analysis of schedule and design variations
• Validate final award value, schedule and scope based on contract documents
• Implement, maintain and execute cost control, change management, and performance reporting
• Validate change cost impacts
• Ensure accurate and timely vendor invoices
• Support project close-out and final payments
• Deliver results for multiple projects with competing priorities

Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience directly related to the design or construction of data centers or critical infrastructure or large-scale mechanical and electrical plants
- Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
- Experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) plants
- Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure experience
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment
- Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA
- Experience in project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure
- Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure
- Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
