Design Assistant

Description

PURPOSE:

The position is an entry level position with great potential for future growth. We are looking for a career minded individual interested in future advancement to become a Design Consultant with Cantoni. 

Weekends and some Holidays are required. 

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Greet and welcome visitors to the showroom.

· Create a warm and hospitable experience for guests.

· Monitor sales ups and leads.

· Handle incoming phone calls and redirect as needed.

· Keep track of swatches and materials on loan.

· Manage resource room inventory and product tags.

· Assist with managing showroom-related expenses.

· Handle daily, weekly, monthly paperwork and reporting.

· Coordinate with corporate partners in accounting, operations, buying teams, and visual merchandising.

· Work closely with the General Manager on projects aimed at enhancing the customer experience and showroom operations.

· Assist the General Manager with various tasks and appointments as required.

· Maintain daily operations in General Manager’s absence.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• Design degree is desirable, but not required
• CAD experience (required)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good organizational skills
• Excellent ability to play a key support role
