Job Summary

The Building Technician II is responsible for independently operating, monitoring, and maintaining key building systems. This intermediate-level role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical components in accordance with SOPs, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines. 

 

Shift: 2nd Sunday-Thursday 3pm-11pm


Essential Duties

 

  • Responds to Facility Service Work Orders from building occupants. Requests may include lighting and electrical service calls.
  • Diagnoses building management/energy management systems for faults and errors
  • Collaborates with fellow technicians to maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems. Proficiently interprets blueprints and schematic drawings to ensure accurate troubleshooting and repairs
  • Completes all required paperwork timely and accurately. Takes readings from nominal equipment and makes timely entry into appropriate logs
  • Uses tools and equipment that are standard issue and do not need further calibration or adjustment, and keeps tools and work areas in a clean and orderly manner
  • Observes and complies with all company safety policies. Uses required personal protective equipment while satisfying all work requests
  • Works on and completes all facility team-based goals

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical degree in related field is preferred
  • 3-5 years of electrical experience required
  • Possession of a current journeyman electrical license
