Job DetailsJob Location: Corporate - Dallas, TX 75201Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayPosition Location: Uptown Dallas Salary Range: $28 - $33 per hour Primary responsibilities: Validate estimating take offs on job starts Estimate base plan materials and materials required for structural options Brick, Stone, Cornice, Interior trim, Doors, Hardware, Lumber, tile and flooring take-offs for new and old plans using Plan Swift, and BRIX.  Provide itemized quantity takeoffs for every component to build a home Perform plan reviews and alert architecture of plan errors Perform field walks to stay acquainted with current practices.  Focusing on recently started subdivisions / new plan estimates    Review ALL option takeoffs before they are loaded into BRIX for Accuracy Clean up existing plans and Subdivisions when notified of a problem with the estimates in the BRIX system Perform variance analysis to eradicate take-off errors Provide support and training to Field personnel regarding how the estimates were calculated Assist EPO personnel if needed to process variance purchase orders Communicate with and assist the purchasing department as well as the field team as needed QualificationsRequirements: Computer proficiency in: Microsoft Excel AutoCAD, Planswift, or BlueBeam BRIX database is a plus Home building experience required Excellent communication skills, time management, strong work ethic and enthusiasm for learning Ability to read floor & engineering plans Team player & ability to work independently 4-year degree or 1-year residential construction experience required High focus and accuracy with numbers Strong attention to detail Megatel Homes offers the following benefits: Competitive Base Salary commensurate with experience Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits Life Insurance 401(k) Plan Paid Time Off and Holidays, including floating Birthday Holiday The typical schedule of this position will be Monday – Friday 8 AM to 5 PM, plus additional hours as necessary.
