Bringing events to life, building meaningful client relationships, and coordinating every detail from planning through execution while creating experiences guests will remember long after the event ends.
Â
As our Event Manager, you will:
- Coordinate all aspects of assigned events throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases, ensuring a seamless transition from Sales to Operations and back to Sales.
- Serve as a key liaison between clients, the Sales team, and hotel departments, communicating event details clearly and ensuring expectations are understood and executed.
- Manage group room blocks, meeting space, and event details for assigned groups.
- Prepare and coordinate event documentation and ensure details are accurate, timely, and effectively communicated to hotel operations.
- Lead and participate in pre-event and post-event meetings, BEO meetings, block reviews, and other event-related meetings as needed.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the event process, connecting with clients and proactively addressing questions, changes, or concerns.
- Partner with hotel teams to identify operational challenges and develop creative solutions that support successful event execution.
- Ensure billing accuracy and review final event charges with clients prior to processing.
- Identify opportunities to maximize revenue by recommending enhancements and up-selling hotel products and services throughout the event process.
- Assist with forecasting group sleeping rooms, catering, event, and audiovisual revenue for assigned groups.
- Participate in site inspections and support the sales process as needed.
- Gather client and operational feedback following events and use those insights to continuously improve the guest and event planner experience.
- Champion exceptional service and set a positive example for guest and client relations.

- Bring previous event management, hospitality, or related professional experience, with leadership or management experience preferred.
- Have experience coordinating events, conferences, meetings, and social gatherings.
- Are highly organized and comfortable managing multiple events, deadlines, and details simultaneously.
- Communicate confidently and professionally with clients, hotel leaders, and operational teams.
- Have strong problem-solving skills and can remain composed and solutions-focused when event plans change.
- Understand that successful events require both exceptional service and strong attention to revenue opportunities, forecasting, and financial accuracy.
- Bring a high school diploma or GED with 1–2 years of event management or related professional experience; or a two-year degree in Hospitality, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or a related field with at least one year of relevant experience.

This role is based at Aloft Dallas and may require flexibility to work during events, including evenings, weekends, and other times based on business needs. The position involves moving throughout the hotel and standing for extended periods during events.
