Marketing Events Specialist

Position Summary
The Event Marketing Specialist supports all aspects of event marketing, including logistics,
vendor coordination, reporting, and on-site execution, for owned, industry, and digital events.
This role helps deliver high-quality, memorable experiences for prospects, customers, and
guests while supporting business growth. The Specialist also supports ad hoc marketing needs,
including serving as the on-site point of contact for the Dallas office and managing the
promotional item digital storefront.
This is a hybrid role (2-3 days per week in office), based in the Dallas, Texas area (Deep Ellum
office).
About the Team
The Events team executes high-impact events that drive engagement, conversion, and pipeline
growth for ShipStation Global. This includes the company's annual user conference, trade
shows, owned events, webinars, and ongoing sponsorships and partnerships. The team works
cross-functionally with sales, product, and the broader organization to make sure every event
delivers measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Event Support and Execution
ā Support planning and execution of company-hosted and third-party events, including
trade shows, conferences, webinars, roadshows, and customer programs.
ā Coordinate event logistics, including venue details, vendor communication, booth setup,
collateral, and on-site support.
ā Serve as the primary on-site contact for tradeshows and events, traveling as needed.
ā Help maintain brand consistency across event materials and experiences.
Promotional Products and Inventory
ā Manage promotional product inventory and the promotional items digital storefront.
ā Source and coordinate giveaways for events and campaigns.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
ā Partner with marketing teams to align events with broader campaigns.
ā Support sales with event attendance, engagement, and follow-up activities.
ā Coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and contractors as needed.
Reporting and Ad Hoc Support
ā Track event performance against defined KPIs (attendance, leads generated, feedback)
and assist with post-event reporting.
ā Serve as an on-site point of contact for the Dallas office as needed.
Qualifications
ā Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field
preferred; equivalent experience considered.
ā 2-3 years of marketing experience required (minimum).
ā Experience supporting a variety of events, from large-scale user events and tradeshows
to digital webinars, across owned and industry events.
ā Strong ability to collaborate with a team and execute consistently at a high level.
ā Excellent self-management skills, with the ability to work on multiple events
simultaneously.
ā Willingness to travel and serve as the on-site primary contact for tradeshows and events.
ā Knowledge of promotional products, giveaways, and inventory management.
ā Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills preferred.
ā Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
ā Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
