Work Performed:

As assigned, and working under general supervision, this position will interface and support all Bell facilities, suppliers, and government agencies with tool control and tool accountability data, reports and schedule packages.

This position determines and performs processes from systems and tooling databases the most efficient and expedient method to create, track and maintain systems to control, to protect, and preserve Government/BHTI owned tooling assets.Ā 

Ā 

This role includes the creation, tracking and maintaining of tooling scrap schedules.Ā 

Ā 

Responsible for maintaining the official government property records under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the terms and conditions of the Government contract accomplished by researching tool usage requirements, updating Federal Condition Codes and reporting the status for various internal departments.Ā 

Ā 

Provide data support for the annual Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) audits.Ā 

Ā 

Coordinate with M.E. Projects for the maintenance and creation of tooling Work Orders.Ā 

Ā 

Screen ā€œSET-POOLā€ tools and the transfer to active government contracts.Ā 

Ā 

Responsible for directing all contract closing activities on tooling inventories along with the transfer to follow on contracts.Ā  Coordinate with the Supply Chain Management and/or Government Property Accounting with the accuracy of the supplier tooling inventory audits and update the tooling databases.Ā 

Ā 

Direct and update necessary changes to the tooling databases based upon internal tooling inventories and discrepancies.Ā  Provide Planning Departments with ā€œLost Tool Notificationsā€.

Ā 

Perform all duties within the position of a Tool Expeditor.



Experience & Other Requirements:

Candidate must posses at least two years college education or equivalent working experience with a general knowledge of Special Tooling (ST) applications and Manufacturing Engineering processes.Ā  Candidate must be able to apply Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) to BHTI policies and procedures.Ā  Ability to handle responsibilities and problem solve with minimum supervision.Ā  Good oral and written communication skills.Ā  Applicant must be proficient in Bell tooling databases and Microsoft Office applications.Ā  Must be multi-tasked oriented.
