Position Overview
Under the direction of the Plant Supervisor, the Fabrication Leadman is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations within the fabrication department. This position ensures team performance, production efficiency, and machine uptime across multiple systems, including fiber lasers, turret punches, and press brakes.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead day-to-day fabrication operations while ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met
  • Schedule and assign work based on priorities, staffing, and machine availability
  • Monitor performance using MDI boards and track WIP and key production metrics
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fiber lasers, turret punches, and press brakes
  • Program and adjust machines as needed to support production and rework
  • Drive Lean initiatives including waste reduction, standard work, and 5S improvements
  • Collaborate with Engineering to review and improve BOMs and part designs
  • Partner with Purchasing to ensure proper material flow and minimize downtime
  • Train, coach, and develop team members while reinforcing a strong safety culture
  • Track employee performance, attendance, and productivity
  • Support special fabrication projects and assist other departments as needed



What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in metal fabrication leadership
  • Strong hands-on experience with fiber lasers, turret punch presses, and press brakes
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot equipment and program machines
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, BOMs, and technical drawings
  • Experience with ERP systems and production/WIP tracking tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills (data entry, sorting, formatting)



Preferred Experience

  • Background in custom manufacturing or HVAC systems
  • Experience with Global Shop Solutions or similar ERP systems
  • Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to grow
