Job Title: Fund Accountant
Location: Downtown Dallas, TX (On-site)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000-$90,000


A well-established and growing investment firm in Downtown Dallas is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to be involved in the financial reporting and operations of investment funds.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  •  Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for investment funds. 
  •  Maintain general ledger activity and perform account reconciliations. 
  •  Record journal entries and ensure the accuracy of financial data. 
  •  Calculate and process capital calls, investor distributions, and partner allocations. 
  •  Assist with Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations. 
  •  Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits. 
  •  Prepare supporting schedules for tax reporting and year-end financial statements. 
  •  Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. 
  •  Analyze financial results and prepare management reports. 
  •  Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency. 
Qualifications

  •  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 
  •  3+ years of accounting experience. 
  •  Previous fund accounting, private equity, investment management, real estate investment, or alternative investment experience preferred. 
  •  Strong knowledge of GAAP. 
  •  Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. 
  •  Experience with accounting or fund management software is a plus. 
  •  CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required. 
  •  Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
