Position Title: General Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Property Manager / Operations Manager 
Location: Dallas–Fort Worth

Position Overview
RDE Capital Group, LLC, a leading commercial real estate brokerage based in Dallas, is seeking a a bilingual (English and Spanish) General Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance operations of our residential and commercial portfolio. The selected candidate will perform maintenance tasks including HVAC, painting, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, inspections, make-ready turns, cleaning, and general property upkeep.

The ideal candidate is a dependable, hands-on professional with strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. This individual can work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and take pride in maintaining properties in excellent condition. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and outstanding customer service while supporting inspections, make-ready turns, preventive maintenance, and general property upkeep. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Property Maintenance & Repairs
• Inspect residential and commercial properties to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform general repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, painting, and other building systems.
• Maintain heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Replace light bulbs, outlets, switches, locks, windows, and other building components as needed.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency service calls.

2. Unit Turns & Make-Ready Services
• Complete move-out inspections and document unit conditions.
• Perform make-ready tasks to prepare units for new residents, including repairs, cleaning coordination, painting, and final quality inspections.
• Ensure vacant units meet company standards before move-in.

3. Property Inspections & Preventive Maintenance
• Conduct routine property inspections and document findings.
• Identify preventive maintenance opportunities to reduce future repair costs.
• Inspect fire safety equipment, alarms, and other building safety systems and coordinate repairs when necessary.

4. Groundskeeping & Property Appearance
• Assist with property cleanliness, trash-outs, debris removal, and grounds upkeep.
• Support landscaping, common area maintenance, and curb appeal initiatives.
• Ensure company properties remain clean, safe, and professionally maintained.

5. Compliance & Documentation
• Complete work orders accurately and on time using company software and systems.
• Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA guidelines at all times.

6. Team Support
• Collaborate with Property Managers, vendors, contractors, and team members to resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Assist with pest control activities and vendor coordination as directed.
• Perform additional duties and special projects assigned by management.

Qualifications Required
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repair.
  • Knowledge of maintenance processes, methods, and safety procedures.
  • Working knowledge of tools, equipment, and common maintenance devices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good physical condition and ability to lift, carry, climb, and work outdoors.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • HVAC certification, EPA certification, or building maintenance training is a plus.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license
  •  Bilingual English/Spanish preferable
