Freese and Nichols is currently searching for a highly motivated, well-rounded Engineer-in-Training with an interest in the geotechnical field, to add to our Water Resource Dam and Levee Design group in Dallas or Fort Worth, Texas.

Primary Responsibilities:

•      The candidate will be responsible for collecting, adjusting, correlating data, and recognizing discrepancies in results.

•      Assist with geotechnical designs and reports, including learning slope stability, seepage and settlement modeling.

•      The ideal candidate will become familiar with accepted design criteria and geotechnical methods.

•      Perform project assignments within the scope of work and guidelines defined by the Project Engineer and within the time and schedule allocations agreed upon by the Group Manager.

•      Applicant must be willing to interface with internal and external clients and develop strong working relationships through project interaction.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering.

  • 1+ years' experience in a related field.

  • EIT certification or ability to pass the FE exam within one year of joining the team.
