GRAPHIC Designer - I

Job Overview:

The Graphic Designer-I is a key creative voice in shaping how The Potter鈥檚 House shares its mission with the world. More than just executing visuals, this role helps translate vision into powerful design that connects deeply with our community.

From digital platforms to social media, the Graphic Designer-I crafts bold, meaningful, and innovative visuals that elevate storytelling and amplify impact. Partnering closely with the Creative Director and Art Director, this role contributes to design concepts that not only inspire but also reflect the heart and spirit of The Potter鈥檚 House.

Key Responsibilities:

VISUAL STORYTELLING & Brand identity:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Design creative assets that align with The Potter鈥檚 House branding, ensuring consistency across all platforms.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop digital and print materials, including sermon graphics, event promotions, social media content, email templates, and signage.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Create compelling visuals that support storytelling efforts across worship services, ministry programs, and community initiatives.

GRAPHIC DESIGN & Content creation:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Design graphics for weekly Sunday and Wednesday services (evergreen content, sermon series, worship experiences).

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Produce visuals for seasonal campaigns and holidays (Christmas, Easter, Back-to-School, etc.).

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop branding and promotional assets for events, conferences, and outreach initiatives.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Create motion graphics and static visuals optimized for digital, print, and large-scale in-house (Sanctuary screens, Lobby LED walls, kiosks, and other environmental displays) ensuring a cohesive look and feel.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Design engaging social media graphics, motion graphics, and multimedia assets optimized for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop on-brand templates for digital and print content, ensuring a seamless look and feel across all channels.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Collaborate with videographers and content creators to enhance motion-based storytelling with graphic overlays and animations.

Creative Strategy & innovation

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Work closely with the Creative Team (Creative Director and Art Director) to develop new design concepts and campaigns that resonate with the TPH audience and newcomers.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Stay ahead of design trends and emerging digital aesthetics to ensure fresh and innovative branding for The Potter鈥檚 House.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist in creating visual branding for special initiatives, conferences, and ministry events.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop compelling visual presentations to support internal and external communications.

COLLABORATION & OVERSIGHT:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Work directly with the聽Creative Director/Head of creative聽to ensure visuals align with the Vis ID created for a campaign or project.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Partner with Art Director, Copy Team and Social Media Managers to create high-impact graphics that drive engagement.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Work in tandem with Production, PHAME, and TV teams to ensure visuals align with worship flow, stage design, and broadcast standards.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain an organized asset library, ensuring easy access to design files and templates.

Required Skills:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Expertise in聽Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign, After Effects)聽and design tools like聽Canva.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong understanding of聽typography, color theory, and layout design聽for both digital and print.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience creating聽motion graphics, animations, and GIFs聽for social media and video content.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to work in a聽fast-paced, deadline-driven environment聽while maintaining attention to detail.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong understanding of聽branding, visual storytelling, and user experience (UX) design in Figma.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Photography and/or video editing skills are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor鈥檚 degree in聽Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 3-5 years聽of experience in graphic design, preferably in a聽faith-based, nonprofit, or mission-driven聽organization.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience working with聽social media teams and digital marketing聽to create engaging visual campaigns.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Understanding of聽print production, large-scale signage, and merchandise design.
