Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary attorney on complex, high-value personal injury and commercial cases.
- Meet with potential new clients to explain the process and execute Attorney–Client contracts.
- Communicate daily with clients, witnesses, experts, medical providers, and insurance adjusters.
- Review and analyze insurance policies, medical records, bills, and other evidence relevant to a client’s claim.
- Discern early in the case the viability of the claim, the possible damages and legal theories for recovery.
- Perform legal research relevant to liability, damages, and case valuation.
- Manage the entire pre-litigation lifecycle of each case with an emphasis on quality, communication, and timely progress.
- Negotiate settlements and secure favorable outcomes on behalf of clients.
- Maintain accurate case updates and documentation in the case management system.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of strong pre-litigation or litigation experience involving commercial or high-policy-limit cases.
- Demonstrated ability to independently evaluate, develop, and negotiate high-value claims.
- Licensed to practice in Texas, or able to become licensed within 6 months.
