The Opportunity:
CACI has need to add an entry level to mid-level HVAC/Generator tech to its technical team in the Dallas, TX area.  This position requires travel in the continental United States for dedicated project.  The candidate should be experienced performing the following tasks.


Responsibilities:
 

Hands on experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of generators, motors, Uninterruptable Power Systems (UPS), control panels, HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems such as timers, circuit breakers, feeders, coils, and relays.

Technical Qualifications
•            Electrical & Controls: Advanced-level troubleshooting of circuits, wiring, switchgear, and PLCs. Experience with AC systems (up to 600V) and DC systems is required.
•            Mechanical: Proficiency in repairing and maintaining internal combustion engines, including fuel, cooling, and electrical subsystems.
•            Diagnostics: Proficient use of DMMs, oscilloscopes, and Megohmmeters to evaluate voltage, current, and leakage.
•            Technical Literacy: Ability to read/interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
•            Asset Management: Experienced in tracking government-owned property/materials and submitting timely material requests and expense reports.
Core Competencies
•            Emergency Response: Proven ability to diagnose and repair malfunctions quickly under high-pressure or emergency conditions.
•            Communication: Ability to translate complex technical issues for end-users and internal stakeholders.
•            Autonomy: Capable of performing independent service across multiple sites with minimal supervision.
•            Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

              --Experience in training staff in system repairs, operations, procedures and troubleshooting

               --core understanding of determining root cause of malfunctions and correcting them

               -- Experience in industrial, military and commercial electrical wiring, repair and maintenance as well as mechanical-system troubleshooting

               --Proven ability to read schematics and work plans

               --Work in a team environment, Quality Team Member

              --Experience in writing customer system specific installation and operator maintenance manuals which include detailed drawings, test plans and procedures

               --Coordinate the procurement of HVAC, generator and electrical components from commercial and DOD vendors to meet requirements

               --Collaborates with engineering staff



Qualifications:

Required: 

  • 5-7 years commercial/industrial HVAC/Generator experience.
  • EPA universal refrigeration licenses (or able to attain within 6 months from start date).
  • Working knowledge of single and three phase power circuits.

                          
Desired:

  • Military mobile power generation/HVAC experience in a tactical environment
  • active TS/SCI
  • Texas Journeyman refrigeration licenses
  • Texas Journeyman Electrical licenses
