Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, covering wiring, conduits, fixtures, and all related electrical components.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine precise wiring layouts and electrical configurations.
- Ensure all electrical work adheres to local, state, and national electrical codes (e.g., NEC).
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics to efficiently resolve electrical issues on-site.
- Utilize a variety of tools and equipment, including conduit benders, wire strippers, multimeters, and power tools.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Follow OSHA and company safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Mentor and train apprentices and junior electricians, fostering professional development and growth.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license (state-specific requirements apply).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial electrical work.
- Solid understanding of electrical theory, wiring methods, and electrical codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics.
- Experience with commercial lighting systems, fire alarms, and motor controls is a plus.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for team-based projects.
- Reliable transportation
- Pre-employment drug test required.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience in new construction and tenant improvement projects.
- Proficiency in bending and installing conduit (EMT, RMC, PVC, etc.).
