Job DetailsJob Location: GRAND PRAIRIE, TX 75050Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment used in the manufacturing of windows and doors. This role ensures that all machinery and systems operate efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime. The technician will perform preventative maintenance, respond to equipment failures, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Repair Perform routine and emergency maintenance on production and warehouse equipment including conveyors, welders, cleaners, saws, notch boxes, and end mills. Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime. Assist with installation, setup, and relocation of machinery and equipment. Preventative Maintenance Execution Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks including oiling, greasing, lubrication, filter replacements, and inspections. Follow PM schedules with accuracy and consistency and maintain maintenance logs. Tools & Technical Skills Utilize standard hand tools safely and effectively and operate power tools such as drills and other mechanical equipment. Safety & Compliance Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures including Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) and OSHA safety standards. Identify and report safety hazards and participate in corrective actions. Performance Expectations Completes standard maintenance tasks with moderate supervision. Maintains consistent and reliable attendance. Responds promptly to maintenance requests and production needs. Actively participates in team meetings and continuous improvement efforts. Demonstrates a sense of urgency in minimizing equipment downtime.QualificationsQualifications High school diploma or GED required. 1–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (window/door manufacturing preferred). Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and basic schematics. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when needed. Work Environment Fast-paced window and door manufacturing facility. Exposure to machinery, moving parts, and industrial equipment. Must follow all PPE requirements.
