POSITION SUMMARY:

Transwestern Investments is seeking an experienced senior asset management professional to join its Dallas-based investment management team. This individual will develop and execute asset strategies across a diversified portfolio of institutional-quality investments, primarily multifamily and industrial properties, with additional exposure to office, healthcare, and retail assets.

Reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer, this individual will work closely with the Head of Portfolio Management to align asset-level strategies and execution with portfolio objectives and client priorities. Working across the investment lifecycle, this individual will collaborate with acquisitions, senior management, clients, and property management, leasing, development and capital markets teams to maximize asset performance, manage risk, and deliver strong investment outcomes for clients.

This position offers meaningful responsibility within an entrepreneurial real estate investment platform and the opportunity to help shape the continued growth of Transwestern Investment Group’s asset management capabilities.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•    Develop and execute asset-level business plans to achieve client objectives. 
•    Maintain a thorough understanding of each asset’s strategy, financial performance, market position, risks, and opportunities. 
•    Provide strategic direction and oversight to property management, leasing, and operating partners. 
•    Monitor and report operating results, leasing activity, capital expenditures, and performance relative to budgets and underwriting. 
•    Prepare annual business plans and periodic investor reports. 
•    Evaluate lease proposals, capital projects, and other significant decisions through detailed financial analysis. 
•    Negotiate leases and ensure compliance with investment requirements.
•    Oversee multifamily development projects, working closely with third-party development partners through construction, lease-up and stabilization.
•    Partner with the acquisitions team on underwriting, due diligence, and the transition of new investments into asset management. 
•    Present asset strategies and recommendations to senior leadership, investment committees, and clients. 
•    Provide leadership and mentorship within the asset management team while helping enhance processes, best practices, and the continued evolution of the firm's asset management platform. 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, business, accounting, or a related field. 

Experience:
•    15 or more years of commercial real estate asset management, acquisitions, portfolio management, or related investment experience. 
•    Significant multifamily and industrial experience, with a preference for deep multifamily operating expertise. 
•    Office, healthcare, and retail experience are beneficial but not required.
•    Experience overseeing multifamily development is preferred. 
•    Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies across core, core-plus, and value-add investments. 
•    Strong knowledge of property operations, leasing, budgeting, capital planning, financial reporting, and investment analysis. 
•    Experience managing a team, third-party property managers, leasing teams, and operating partners. 
•    Ability to communicate effectively with clients, senior leadership, investment committees, and operating partners. 
•    Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills, with advanced Excel proficiency; Argus experience is preferred. 
•    Strong judgment, initiative, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple assets and priorities. 
•    Ability to travel approximately 15%–25%.
