About the Job.

JPI has an exciting opportunity for a Milestone Validation Construction Intern to join our Central Construction team located in Dallas, TX. The Construction Intern will work alongside the field project teams and participate in support of data capture and review with the Milestone Validation Team.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Field

  • Observe how to manage a project.

  • Capture and Upload construction documentation with various technology tools including open space, robotics, and drones.

  • Help create and monitor corrections based upon the documentation reviews.

  • Collect data on crew sizes, locations, and work complete

  • Learn to monitor construction progress remotely and use controlled processes to support field activities using visual capture tools.

  • Other duties may be assigned by the Milestone Validation Lead

AI and Automation

  • Uses approved enterprise AI tools (e.g., Claude Cowork, Microsoft Copilot) to draft, summarize, analyze, and accelerate everyday work.

  • Applies sound judgment to review AI-generated outputs for accuracy, tone, and appropriateness before using or sharing them.

  • Follows company data handling, confidentiality, and acceptable-use policies when working with AI tools and sensitive information.

  • Demonstrates curiosity and willingness to adopt new tools; actively participates in AI training, office hours, and adoption campaigns.

  • Uses AI assistants to reduce manual effort on routine tasks (email drafting, meeting notes, document summarization, basic research).

Non-essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Work Experience & Physical Requirements

  • Currently enrolled or pursuing a bachelor’s program in construction management or related field.

  • This is an entry-level position, but prior coursework or internships that built an understanding of construction management or project management is preferred.
