Position Summary

The Night Crew Supervisor is responsible for leading overnight store operations, ensuring efficient stocking, product replenishment, inventory accuracy, merchandising execution, and store readiness for the next business day. This position supervises night crew associates, promotes a safe and productive work environment, and supports achievement of operational, customer service, and financial goals. The Night Crew Supervisor serves as a key leader during overnight operations and assists in maintaining company standards throughout the store.

Key Responsibilities Overnight Operations
  • Supervise and coordinate nightly stocking, facing, conditioning, and replenishment activities.
  • Ensure merchandise is stocked accurately and according to company standards.
  • Monitor productivity and workflow to ensure completion of nightly assignments.
  • Verify aisles, displays, and promotional locations are properly stocked and presentation-ready.
  • Ensure the store is prepared for opening with clean, organized, and fully stocked sales areas.
  • Communicate operational priorities and workload assignments to associates.
Inventory & Merchandise Management
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify out-of-stock conditions.
  • Ensure proper product rotation and handling practices.
  • Verify merchandise is stocked in the correct locations with accurate pricing and signage.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and staging deliveries for efficient stocking.
  • Support inventory counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Help minimize shrink through proper handling and operational controls.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to overnight associates.
  • Train new employees on stocking procedures, safety standards, and operational expectations.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and productivity.
  • Monitor associate performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Support associate development and growth opportunities.
Store Standards & Merchandising
  • Maintain company merchandising and presentation standards throughout the store.
  • Ensure aisles, endcaps, displays, and promotional areas are clean and properly merchandised.
  • Verify that sale items, seasonal merchandise, and promotional programs are executed correctly.
  • Monitor overall store conditions and address deficiencies promptly.
  • Support department managers with merchandising and replenishment objectives.
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote a safe working environment for associates and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor safe operation of pallet jacks, stocking equipment, and other tools.
  • Identify and address safety hazards promptly.
  • Ensure proper incident reporting and documentation.
  • Maintain clean and organized work, stockroom, and storage areas.
Operational Support
  • Assist with labor planning and workload distribution.
  • Monitor completion of daily and weekly operational tasks.
  • Communicate store issues, inventory concerns, and operational opportunities to store leadership.
  • Support execution of company initiatives and operational programs.
  • Collaborate with department teams to ensure store-wide success.
Leadership Coverage
  • Assume responsibility for overnight store operations as assigned.
  • Serve as the primary overnight leadership presence when management is not on-site.
  • Make operational decisions to ensure completion of nightly objectives.
  • Communicate overnight results and priorities to store leadership.
  • Support emergency response and incident management procedures when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous grocery, retail, stocking, or warehouse experience required.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work overnight schedules, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, climb, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier loads with assistance when necessary.
  • Ability to push and pull pallet jacks, carts, and stocking equipment.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature environments, including coolers and freezers.
