Responsibilities

The Office Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and influencing department activities and delivery of clinic services while maintaining continuous quality improvement. The Office Manager maintains operation within budgetary parameters. Effectively interacts with patients, significant others and other health team members, while maintaining standard of professional business service. The Office Manager is accountable to the Practice Administration and Operations Manager for the day-to-day management of personnel, including staffing, timekeeping, employee evaluations, counseling interviewing and selection of staff within established guidelines. The Office Manager spends 80% + of time performing expert duties related to clinic operations and related areas of expertise; less than 20% of time is spent on the aforementioned management activities.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience
  • Three to five years? experience in health care practice office preferred.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Computer and word processing skills.
  • Knowledge of equipment and machines used in the clinic?s office.
  • Knowledge of collection procedures and regulations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Must obtain Sexual Harassment certification within 6 months, and then maintain biennially.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
