Cetera Financial Institutions (CFI) is seeking a highly qualified Regional Institutional Development Manager to join our growing organization. The Regional Institutional Development Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with financial institutions within their assigned territory while promoting CFI’s product and services suite.
The successful candidate will also have demonstrated experience with financial institutions and real-time marketing technologies in advance of business development. Partnering with the broader New Business Development Team and Marketing department, this expertise will be utilized to efficiently identify, address, and activate the right prospective financial institutions and advisors.
What you will do:
- Expand the existing client base by recruiting high quality financial institutions’ clients and FI based advisors
- Partner with executive management teams both within and outside the organization to drive a seamless integration of large group (population) of Financial Institutions and advisors into the firm’s culture.Â
- Ability to understand and effectively promote Financial Institution affiliation models (Dual Employee, Managed, Independent) and sales resource deploymentÂ
- Meet assigned targets for EBITDA, MOIC, Asset Realization, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.
- Participate in learning and development initiatives impacting the sales organization and open to continuous development opportunities.
- Participate in industry events and conferences, representing Cetera value proposition as well as speak at such events.
- Responsible for setting sales directions in the territory, developing strategies to market the firm’s products and services and executing day to day sales initiatives.
- Travel Requirements: ~40%

What you will have:
- 8+ years’ experience in financial institution channel recruitment and business development
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- High affinity towards future market trends and the ability to forecast new business development opportunities.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, independent environments while remaining highly integrated with internal and external partners. Â
- Familiarity with marketing analytics and marketing technology. Â
- Current experience in database marketing, marketing measurement and business intelligence. Â
- Strong Financial Institution network. Ability to cultivate and maintain long-term relationships. Â
- Ability to influence external and internal stakeholders
- Articulate, confident, driven professional with the ability to work with like-minded professionals in a results oriented, fast-paced and growing environment. Â
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and with both internal and external stakeholders; influence/negotiation skills and relationship management capabilities a must. Â
- Self-motivator, problem-solver with excellent communication and demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, both independently and in a team environment. Â
- Strong ability to present well personally and professionally to senior management. Â

The salary range for this role is $125,000-$170,000, plus competitive incentive compensation package. Compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Compensation ranges may differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
