This is a remote position with an ideal base location in Dallas.  

What the Role Is

The Regional Manager will be responsible for overseeing the execution of Heaven Hill Brand’s strategic initiatives through the management of distributors in Texas. The Manager will ensure distributors are adhering to brand policies, company objectives are being met, and promotional activity is taking place. 

This position will also be responsible for Net Sales Value (NSV), market depletions, pricing, brand programming, and management of Heaven Hill Sales Activity Budgets (SAB) and Distributor Local Marketing Funds (LMF) within the distributor network. Additionally, the Manager will coach, develop, guide and direct the Heaven Hill sales teams within each market, and manage the Travel & Entertainment Budget (T&E). 

How You Will Spend Your Time?

  • Ability to manage distributor relating to the development and implementation of local merchandising program and ongoing performance evaluation
  • Direct distributor selling activities to achieve sale, distribution and merchandising goals
  • Ability to negotiate pricing with distributor management
  • Responsible for educating distributor, and sales staff
  • Observe competitive market activity and evaluate distributor execution against our initiatives
  • Have high visibility at the distributor office and meet with sales representatives and management to ensure pursuit of Heaven Hill’s goals and objectives
  • Execute product seminars at accounts and with distributor sales team
  • Provide National Account mandate compliance and pricing requests in a timely fashion
  • Work cross-functionally with Heaven Hill National and Regional On and Off Premise customer teams, to ensure proper pricing, compliance and execution are achieved to standards of expectation.
  • Stay informed and knowledgeable of customer and consumer trends
  • Provide monthly market activity report to Associate Vice President, including a list of objectives, accomplishments, competitive activity, special projects and/or any needs
  • Successfully launch all new products achieving volume and distribution objectives
  • Provide feedback on effectiveness of marketing and sales initiatives
  • Develop rapport with key retail accounts in region to ensure proper brand distribution, promotion, and shelf management are taking place
  • Maintain accurate records regarding distributor profiles, organizational structures, and competitive brand alignments
  • Manage all T&E expenses and local budgets (Heaven Hill SAB and Distributor LMF) for market
  • Stay informed and knowledgeable of all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the market and keep management informed of all information pertaining to changes

Who You Are…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum five (5) years’ sales experience in spirits or wine industry
  • Minimum five (5) years’ people management experience
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Analytical skills, in particular gathering data from a wide variety of sources, and presenting it in formats suitable for a wide variety of audiences
  • Effective managerial and presentation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be customer –centric and have effective negotiation and business development skills.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with distributor databases for communication and analytics of the business
  • Valid Driver’s License

While performing job duties, the employee is occasionally required to:

  • Stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, use of computer; and reach with hands and arms. 
  • Lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
