Pavement Maintenance Group is the largest single owner of SealMaster franchise operations in the United States, manufacturing and distributing pavement preservation products across multiple markets. We are seeking a Regional Manufacturing Operations Manager to strengthen our Texas operation, consisting of one manufacturing plant and two store facilities.

This is a highly hands-on, plant-facing leadership role. You will spend meaningful time on the production floor, in the stores, developing local leaders, investigating equipment and process issues, and helping teams move work forward. This is not a position for someone who prefers to manage primarily through meetings, reports, or established corporate procedures.

PMG has a strong foundation built by experienced employees. As we grow, we need a leader who can learn how work is currently performed, preserve valuable operating knowledge, and turn that knowledge into practical, repeatable processes. You will partner with local management, maintenance teams, Human Resources, senior leadership, and leaders in other regions to improve safety, training, SOPs, JSAs, equipment reliability, accountability, and operational consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on leadership across the Texas manufacturing plant and store locations.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop plant managers, supervisors, leads, and frontline employees.
  • Understand production flow, staffing, quality, inventory, material movement, maintenance, shipping and receiving, and customer needs.
  • Identify gaps and build practical SOPs, JSAs, training programs, maintenance practices, and accountability systems.
  • Partner with maintenance teams and vendors on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment uptime.
  • Monitor performance related to safety, quality, productivity, labor, inventory, waste, and on-time execution.
  • Lead through visible safety practices, hazard recognition, PPE compliance, incident follow-up, and consistent accountability.
  • Maintain ownership and follow-through when equipment issues, employee matters, customer needs, and improvement projects compete for attention.

The successful candidate will have progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial production, construction materials, distribution, or a similarly hands-on environment. Strong mechanical aptitude is critical. You do not need to personally complete every repair, but you must be willing to inspect equipment, ask technically useful questions, help diagnose problems, and work directly with maintenance personnel.

This role is best suited for a curious, adaptable, organized leader who can build structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy. You must be willing to get dirty, listen before changing processes, make timely decisions, coach with patience, and hold teams to a clear standard.

You will help steer the operation-but you must also be willing to row.
