Registered Nurse, RN (Full Time-Days) – Surgery CVOR

Robust, Growing Surgery department, is looking for top skilled nurses.  Is that you?

 

Work Location: 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231.

Work Hours: Full time- 40 Hours/week; Monday-Friday 0630-1500– On call and Holiday coverage required

Surgery Department highlights:

  • Texas Health Dallas has 24 Main OR Suites, 2 Endovascular rooms, 3 Robot rooms, 2 Heart rooms.
  • Fast Paced, High Volume of Open Vascular, Endo Vascular, and Hearts
  • Level I Trauma facility. Strong Minimally Invasive CV program
     


Here’s What You Need

·         Associate degree Nursing or Nursing Diploma required

·         BSN (Preferred)

·         1 Year Experience as a registered nurse in the operating room or completion of an RN OR residency program (Required)

·         CV experience is not required.

·         RN - Registered Nurse (Required upon hire)

·         BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire)

·         ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Upon hire preferred)

What You Will Do

·         Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

·         OR RN Surgery Circulator duties and skills

·         Assesses the patient

·         Plans the care of the patient

·         Intervenes as appropriate

·         Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

·         Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

·         Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

·         Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
