Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret official documents related to property ownership and exemptions
- Process all types of exemption applications accurately and efficiently
- Assist property owners with questions regarding ownership and exemption issues
- Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Provide excellent customer service through clear communication and professional interaction
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and data accuracy
- Stay informed about updates to policies and procedures related to property exemptions
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous office or administrative experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent public relations and communication skills
- Ability to interpret legal and official documents accurately
- Adaptability and a positive attitude in a dynamic environment
- Self-motivated with a quick learning ability
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry

Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Software.
- The ability to concentrate on assigned tasks and to manage time effectively.
- The ability to ask questions that will bring forth the information needed to assist the customer efficiently.
- The ability to communicate clearly on the telephone and face to face. Additionally strong written communication skills are necessary.
- Experience with U.S. Mail, UPS, Express Mail Carriers and procedures is beneficial.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time with ability to reach, bend and move up/down.
- The ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds of files or equipment.
- Applicant must be able to pass a standardized skill test administered by the District.
- If assigned to deliver and retrieve mail to and from the Post Office, must possess a valid Texas Driver's License and comply with the DCAD automobile insurance requirements (Auto Allowance provided)
Preferred:
Bilingual in Spanish - (read and speak)
Office experience with knowledge of office equipment, postage meters, and other office equipment
Previous customer service, appraisal or tax office experience
