Safety Coordinator

Electra Link is seeking a motivated Safety Coordinator to join our growing team in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This is a field-based position responsible for promoting a proactive safety culture across commercial and industrial construction projects.

As the Safety Coordinator, you will work closely with project managers, field leadership, and employees to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and customer safety requirements while providing coaching, training, and leadership that keeps our employees safe.

What You'll Do

Safety Leadership

  • Promote a positive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and field engagement.
  • Build strong working relationships with field employees, supervisors, and project management.
  • Serve as the primary safety resource for assigned projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth region.

Field Safety

  • Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and assessments.
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
  • Identify hazards and recommend practical corrective actions.
  • Verify proper use of PPE and safe work practices.
  • Participate in project safety committees and customer safety meetings.

Training & Development

  • Conduct new hire safety orientations.
  • Lead toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings.
  • Deliver site-specific safety training.
  • Coach employees and supervisors on safe work practices and regulatory requirements.

Incident Management

  • Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and motor vehicle accidents.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Track corrective actions through completion.

Safety Administration

  • Maintain safety records and documentation.
  • Assist with audits and compliance reporting.
  • Recommend improvements to company safety policies and programs.
  • Utilize testing equipment and document findings as required.

Qualifications

Required

  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of construction safety experience
  • Strong understanding of OSHA construction standards
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present training to individuals and groups
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to walk active construction sites and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred

  • OSHA 510 Certification
  • CHST certification or ability to obtain
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience in commercial construction, low voltage, telecommunications, or industrial environments
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses
  • Experience with safety management software and mobile inspection applications

Travel

  • Primary coverage includes the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
  • Occasional travel to other Texas project locations may be required.
  • Company vehicle provided.

Screening Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Maintain a valid driver's license
  • Be authorized to work in the United States
  • Obtain customer-required site access credentials as needed

  • Salary: $65,000–$80,000 DOE
