This is an exciting opportunity to join the DAS Team in our school-based work as a聽School Psychologist. We are looking for qualified team members/contractors who can contribute to our goal of supporting students and families in achieving the most optimal outcomes.

The awesome work you will do:
Exhibit positive and collaborative relationships with parents, administrators, and teachers.
Produce emotional and behavioral evaluations using best practices.
Collaborate with Diagnosticians and other service providers.
Express knowledge and understanding of Federal, State and Local procedure and regulation regarding the evaluation and ARD process.
Assume responsibility for the organization and operation of work within the area of supporting students and staff working with special education students following state and federal program guidelines.
Facilitate聽case聽management聽of聽evaluations聽through聽involvement聽with聽campus聽intervention聽and/or聽evaluation team meetings, consultation with parents and teachers, observations, and behavior聽management聽plans.
Evaluate聽the聽intellectual,聽emotional,聽behavioral,聽and/or聽adaptive聽behavior聽functioning聽of聽referred聽students.
Determine and utilize appropriate tests for evaluations, score and interpret test data, write psychological evaluation聽reports, and behavior management plans.
Participate聽as聽member聽of聽local聽Admission,聽Review,聽and聽Dismissal聽committee聽as聽needed聽and聽when聽appropriate.
Make聽recommendations聽for聽Special聽Education聽eligibility on聽the聽basis聽of聽serious聽emotional聽disturbance聽and聽/or other disabilities categories.

Requirements:
路 Master鈥檚 Degree (MA, M.S. of Eds) from a NASP accredited institution
路 Licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists as a School Psychologist
路 2-3 years of experience in a school setting a plus, but not required
路 Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, special education, and human development
路 Excellent organization and planning skills
路 Demonstrate passion for serving students
路 Effective interpersonal skills
