Unique Skills:

Must have good communication skills and ability to manage a multi-discipline engineering team.

Ability to work in a fast paced enviornment to meet customer commitments.

Experience in outfitting for systems and interiors preferred.

Familiarity with Part 25 certification preferred.


 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 10 years progressively responsible operations or manufacturing experience with at least 4 years in a management role. Position Purpose:Directs and manages the Completions Engineering effort for assigned aircraft models and/or location. Responsible for ensuring aircraft interiors are robust, reliable, high quality and meet customer expectations. Responsible for managing effort between engineering, operations and suppliers. Develops and maintains budgets, schedules and program plans to meet objectives. Accountable for maintaining the engagement of the team by establishing an environment of collaboration between team members and across the business, creating a culture of development where all employees are supported in seeking growth opportunities, and guiding team to high quality performance.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
  1. Directs the development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures necessary to achieve an effective organization. Reviews performance of departments and takes timely corrective action to resolve deficiencies .
  2. Ensures compliance with company policies, FAA and other governmental Repair Station regulations .
  3. Participate in the development of production strategies. Pursue continuous improvement strategies for fabricating and installing aircraft interiors that balance customer-appreciated quality, build schedule and profitability .
  4. Directs the research and development of new and existing interior products that results in continuous improvements for customer safety, comfort, and product reliability .
  5. Directs the establishment of operating budgets and other controls necessary for management to determine financial performance. Ensures facility expenditures are being managed properly .
  6. Evaluates projected workflow to determine labor, material, facility, and other resource needs to achieve business objectives and at the same time meeting customer expectations and company commitments .
  7. Responsible to ensure accurate and meaningful communication flow between leadership and team to ensure alignment .
  8. Establish and cascade goals to ensure alignment with organizational goals .
Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements:
  1. Must have demonstrated leadership ability and possess strong communication and customer relations skills.
A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer. This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
