Job Summary: 

Leeward Renewable Energy is currently seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst (P3) to provide information, analysis, financial modeling, and execution support for corporate financial planning, cash flow forecasting, investor reporting, and financial risk control. This position is based in Dallas, Texas and provides a perfect opportunity for a professional looking for interesting work within a small, growing team, the ability to expand their experience, work with all levels of the organization, and contribute to the company's success in the renewable energy industry. 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Builds, utilizes, and maintains financial models for wind, solar, and energy storage projects to evaluate asset performance. 

  • Analyzes project and company performance, explains key variances to the annual budget, and provides reporting materials for company management, investors, and Board of Directors. 

  • Coordinates input gathering and consolidates the results for the annual budgeting and regular reforecasting processes. 

  • Performs due diligence on modeling inputs and assumptions. 

  • Conducts market research to incorporate relevant information into the financial models. 

  • Performs Ad hoc analysis and reporting as required. 

  • Additional duties as required. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related academic field 

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of extensive experience in financial valuation & modeling; Preferably in the renewable energy sector 

  • Experience with corporate finance, budgeting, and reporting 

  • Working knowledge of accounting 

  • Advanced Excel skills (MACROs, VBA, Pivot Tables) 

  • Familiarity with conventional/renewable energy is highly desirable. 

  • Extensive market research capabilities are desirable. 

  • Familiarity with Finance and Accounting (Dynamics, Hyperion) and/or Business Intelligence (Power BI, Tableau) systems is preferable. 

  • Good team player with the ability to work in a growing team environment. 

  • Strong analytical, attention to detail, multitasking and problem resolution skills. 

  • Self-starter with effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Please Note: This is an in-office role, requiring on site presence in our office a minimum of three days per week with hybrid flexibility of working remotely two days per week, subject to manager and policy approval. #LIHybrid 

LRE considers several factors when determining compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. In compliance with the Illinois Equal Pay Act, the salary range for the Development Program Manager is between $92,000 to $128,000 annually. Compensation is set within the range based on each candidate’s background, with the potential to grow as responsibilities and experience increase. This position also includes a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k)-retirement plan, health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
