The Sourcing Manager job coordinates and conducts business dealing with sourcing, procurement and vendor management. Working in the finance department as well as interacting with other business groups, this job works under limited supervision to oversee the financials and analyze data to manage vendor costs, compliance, sourcing and procurement.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Negotiates vendor contracts, sourcing and procurement for a variety of company departments to ensure consistency as well as satisfaction and success.
- Facilitates collaborative and strong relationships with vendors and sourcing companies.
- Manages and reviews contracts and other procurement documents using competitive sourcing strategies to deliver continuous cost performance and process improvement.
- Implements a standardized corporate, global-enterprise-wide mindset to secure the best vendors and sourcing partnerships.
- Oversees data analysis, supplier negotiation and selection, contract development, financial structure and additional sourcing activities to highlight a clear scope of services and deliverables.
- Communicates with sourcing team in maintaining compliance and conducting sourcing analytics, such as spend analysis and the development of dashboards and metrics.
- Provides direction and oversees the work of lower level employees.
