About the Role
Knighted is excited to be looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you’ll be responsible for helping to ensure the accuracy of our financial statements, including reconciling accounts, performing month-end financial tasks, and assisting with regulatory compliance. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working in-person at our Addison, TX office.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accounting schedules in accordance with applicable standards and company policy
- Prepare and record journal entries during month-end close process
- Perform month-end financial tasks, including the preparation and analysis of account reconciliations
- Partner with department heads to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
- Assist with annual audits, regulatory compliance, and annual budgeting processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure proper recording and classification of expenses
Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with the rest of Microsoft Suite
- Working knowledge of ERP/Accounting software with a strong preference for NetSuite experience
