Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Supervisor (M1) will be responsible for essential activities in the accounts payable function and supervise a team of Accounts Payable Associates.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise and lead a team of three accounts payable associates, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
  • Assist with 1099 Preparation.
  • Monitor the AP inbox and OCR process.
  • Handle vendor email escalation.
  • Assist with vendor maintenance, additions, changes, and fraud prevention process.
  • Oversee the recording of vendor payments and approvals for the AP Associates.
  • Manage the workload of three employees.
  • Prepare a weekly list of unpaid invoices for all legal entities and determine payments to be made based on funds availability, working closely with the Treasury Department.
  • Review the weekly duplicate invoice report.
  • Oversee the Concur process.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the AP Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3 plus years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes, including invoices, purchase orders, payments, and cash management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in a high-volume, multi-entity environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is replace with preferred.
  • Experience with Maximo PO software is a plus.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office products, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.  
  • Discretion/Confidentiality a must.
  • Must be professional, personable, approachable, and courteous.

Physical Demands:

  • Position will require sitting for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally able to lift up to 10  pounds.
