Overview

The Operations Analytics Leader leads a small team responsible for delivering high鈥憅uality operational analytics, reporting, and process improvements across operations. This role combines hands鈥憃n analytical work with day鈥憈o鈥慸ay team leadership, ensuring reliable data, actionable insights, and strong alignment with Operations leadership. Databricks expertise is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Oversight

  • Lead and mentor a team of analysts supporting field operations, logistics, and executive decision-making.
  • Prioritize workload, assign tasks, and ensure timely delivery of reports, dashboards, and analysis.
  • Establish standards for data quality, documentation, and analytical best practices while building a culture that fosters innovation.

Operational Analytics & Databricks

  • Hands on development and maintenance of Databricks notebooks, data pipelines, and operational models.
  • Support the creation of digestible dashboards and KPIs that support throughput optimization, asset reliability, and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across operational datasets, partnering with IT and Data Engineering as needed.

Operational Support & Continuous Improvement

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Understand the organization's business strategy and operations to ensure platform capabilities support business objectives.

  • Support initiatives related to artificial intelligence, digital transformation, automation, and workflow standardization.
  • Provide clear, actionable insights to Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams.

Stakeholder & Project Management

  • Serve as a key point of contact for operations leadership regarding analytics priorities and reporting needs.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful implementation and utilization of operational dashboards.


Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in operations analytics, or similar roles, for mid-to-large organizations.
  • 4+ years of experience leading or mentoring analysts (formal or informal).
  • Strong hands鈥憃n experience with Databricks, SQL, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to operational leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within midstream, energy, or industrial operations.
  • Understanding of compression or midstream operational workflows (SCADA data, maintenance planning, or scheduling).
  • Familiarity with Azure or other cloud data platforms.
