RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Payments Product Manager is pivotal in providing the direction and end to end management of the Payments products, with responsibility for defining and implementing the Payments Product business strategy, understanding the risks associated with the product, development of new products and commercialization of these products. The role requires a deep understanding of Corporate payments and payment rails including cross border/cross currency solutions. Understanding of client challenges/opportunities and industry trends will be required as inputs into the Payments strategic product roadmap and commercialization strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead payment transformation initiatives from inception to launch – e.g. participation in new payment rails - as well as expand payment capabilities in our product suite.
  • Operate as a subject matter expert in the global payments ecosystem, with extensive knowledge of domestic and cross-border solutions that utilize payment rails like SWIFT, CHIPS, Fedwire, ACH, RTP, FPS, CHAPS, BACS, SEPA, SEPA Instant, and Target2.
  • Partnership with key stakeholders including Engineering, Operations and Risk in delivering in-house built innovative solutions that utilize the latest technology to delight clients
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle, from ideation, strategy, and design through launch and ongoing enhancement, embedding robust risk management practices at every stage.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to support the successful commercialization of new products, ensuring offerings are relevant and competitive.
  • Engage with clients and internal partners—including Product, Sales, and Servicing teams—to understand client challenges, opportunities, and industry trends, shaping the strategic roadmap and future product development.
  • Ensure continuous improvement by monitoring product performance, gathering client feedback, and driving enhancements to maintain a best-in-class payments experience.

Ideal candidate has:

  • Experience as a payments product manager or in a payments product development team 
  • Experience of implementing payment rails (e.g. CHIPS, Fedwire, Target2) or other payment products
  • Payment rail knowledge (e.g. SWIFT, Fedwire, ACH, SEPA, BACS, Target2)
  • Experience in agile project development
  • Demonstrable ability to partner with operations and engineering teams to deliver best in class solutions
  • Experience of end-to-end product ownership from ideation to commercialization, working in a diverse global team driving rapid team and product growth
  • Excellent organizational, time management and planning skills and experience of maintaining requirements and information in JIRA and Confluence

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in payments related role

Preferred Qualifications / Experience

  • Expertise and experience of ISO 20022 and SWIFT standards across payments and cash management domains
  • Detailed knowledge of domestic and international payment rails
