Winstead PC's Dallas office is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transactions Specialist to join our Real Estate Development and Investments Practice Group.  This position plays a vital support role in the closing process for complex real estate transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Closing matters including document compilation, dating and finalization, uploads, and closing binder management.
  • Preparation of closing binder indexes.
  • Post-closing matters including custodial packages, compiling closing binders, mailings, and follow-up on outstanding title/closing documents.
  • Working in tandem with deal team (attorneys, paralegals, and assistants) to finalize and receive all closing documents and related diligence.
  • Assist paralegals and attorneys in preparing title documents.
  • Assist with signature page preparation.
  • Loan summaries and due diligence questionnaires.
  • Assist with coordination of post-closing projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of prior legal experience in a law firm.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on MS Word and to a lesser extent Excel.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat for document creation, editing, and management.
  • Good working knowledge of document management systems; experience with NetDocuments is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to adjust for competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Ability to work overtime if and when required.
