The Field Service Representative I is responsible for performing basic equipment installation and assisting with routine inspections and testing under supervision. They learn to identify simple issues and carry out standard repairs or adjustments, gradually building confidence in troubleshooting techniques.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or GED and successful completion of ICIAN FSR training
Experience: Specialized Technical Training. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft and strong capability with general computer software tools required.
Travel: 50%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Schedule may vary and can include, but is not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays. Â Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary.Â
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with small project execution under supervision (modernization, upgrades, etc.)
- Begins interpreting blueprints and service documentation with guidance
- Supports basic electrical system audits
- Accurately documents site information and prepares initial technical reports
- Communicates with customer coordinators as needed for clarity
- Follows safety procedures and maintains a clean job site, tools, and vehicles
- Provides accurate time and expense records daily
- Properly handles defective parts for return/disposal
- Delivers responsive customer service in support roles
- Gains exposure to serviceable equipment with supervision
- Performs routine inspections and basic testing using standard procedures
- Supports troubleshooting efforts for common equipment faults
- Follows documented guidelines for repairs and adjustments
- Maintains detailed service records and observes safety standards
- Learns and follows company procedures for customer interaction
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
