Fissco Supply is seeking a reliable Warehouse/Driver team member for the Distribution Center in Dallas, TX! The Warehouse/Driver role is a critical position responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods within the warehouse and to various delivery locations. This role combines warehouse operations with driving responsibilities, requiring you to manage inventory accurately while safely transporting products to customers or other facilities. You will play a key role in maintaining the flow of products, supporting supply chain operations, and contributing to the overall customer satisfaction. Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and excellent time management are essential to meet delivery schedules and warehouse organization standards. Responsibilities
- Process and receive incoming product from branch transfers to fulfill specific customer orders or replenish stock
- Ability to pick and stage will-call orders to achieve customer’s expectations
- Accurately picks, prepares, and processes outgoing shipping orders accurately to meet shipping cutoff times
- Process and handle customer returns in accordance with company guidelines, ensuring original documentation is accurately referenced
- Process vendor shipping discrepancies
- Ability to document and file freight claims when necessary
- Prepares all hazmat orders in accordance with all DOT and company requirements
- Replenish and maintain showroom inventory
- Maintain inventory for shipping supplies, postage, and packaging materials
- Ensure the Branch is kept clean including floors, common areas, and bathrooms
- Ability to support warehouse housekeeping such as bin maintenance, fronting, overstock, dust control, maximize cube space, and keeping the aisles clear
- Support customer service by assisting customers with pick up and loading of orders
- Support will-call service as needed to maintain a high level of customer service
- Actively participates in all assigned regulatory, product, selling, etc training
- Ability to provide backup support at the service counter during peak service times
- Ability to safely operate a forklift or other machinery in order to complete daily tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record to operate company delivery trucks
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse or material handling experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment, such as a forklift and pallet jacksÂ
- Strong communication skills and experience working in a team environment
- Ability to apply basic knowledge of inventory management and warehouse safety procedures
- Proven ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items, often up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
