We are currently seeking an SAP BTP Developer Intern for the Enterprise Business Systems department located in our Dallas, TX office. This is a paid summer internship opportunity with housing provided if needed.


The SAP BTP Build Application Developer Intern supports the design and development of business applications using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), with a focus on SAP Build tools. The intern collaborates with experienced team members to develop/support BTP centric applications, automate business processes, and integrate SAP and non-SAP systems. This role provides direct exposure to cloud application development, SAP Build Apps, BTP Integration Suite, process automation, and modern enterprise technologies while developing technical and problem-solving skills.
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with team members to develop a cloud-based application using BTP build and an integration using BTP Integration Suite
  • Assist in adding new features and making improvements to existing applications.
  • Help with integration testing and basic quality checks to ensure applications work as expected.
  • Take part in technical and architectural discussions to learn about system design.
  •  Estimate effort for assigned tasks with guidance and complete work within agreed timelines.
  • Monitor support requests, assist with troubleshooting issues, and communicate updates to users when needed.
  • Create and update technical documentation with guidance from senior team members.
  • Share learnings with the team and ask questions to grow technical knowledge.
  • Participate in team meetings and suggest simple improvements to ways of working.

Required Degree Background: 

  • Rising junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree or master’s in computer science.
  • Minimum of 3.5 grade point average

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Basic project, academic, or intern experience with programming languages such as Java, Node.js, or scripting languages like Python.
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices and tools such as GitHub and Postman.
  • Exposure to or interest in SAP technologies is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

  • Self-motivated learner able to manage priorities and manage multiple tasks with guidance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas and communicate clearly.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with good time-management skills.
  • Effective communicator who collaborates well with team members and cross-functional teams.
