Basic Responsibilities:
ï‚· Provide high-quality instruction, direction, and support for students in the online
classroom environment.


Essential Duties:
ï‚· Provide in-depth and timely feedback on student work, being both encouraging and
constructively critical.
 Provide timely and helpful answers to students’ inquiries regarding course material or
academic matters.
ï‚· Conduct periodic synchronous interaction sessions (depending on course
requirements).
ï‚· Facilitate and grade all assignments in a timely manner.
ï‚· Enter final course grades after consultation with the lead faculty and/or program director
by assigned deadlines.

ï‚· Alert lead faculty and/or program director to any student issues. This includes
performance issues (e.g., failing grades, failing to turn in assignments, etc.) and policy
violation issues (e.g., plagiarism).
ï‚· Comply with all pertinent policies and procedures outlined in Abilene Christian
University’s Handbook, Faculty Guidelines, and those specified by the program.
ï‚· Other duties, as assigned and directed by lead faculty and/or program director.
ï‚· Provide feedback to the program director for program and/or course improvement.
ï‚· Attend/complete program and CLPS faculty trainings and
provide credentialing/records updates (as needed).
ï‚· Participate in program and faculty meetings (as able).

ï‚· Attention to detail and follow through.
ï‚· Time management skills.
ï‚· Computer proficiency with knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, new technologies
and software packages.
ï‚· Excellent verbal communication, written communication, and interpersonal abilities.
ï‚· Strong capacity for critical thinking and problem solving while maintaining appropriate
professional boundaries and program standards.
ï‚· Ability to collaborate or work independently as the situation requires.
ï‚· Exhibit a standard of ethical behavior, discretion, and respect confidentiality in handling
information related to the University, the School of Social Work and its faculty, staff, and
students
 

Training Modules Required:
ï‚· Microsoft Word, Excel, Access
ï‚· Google Calendar, Mail, Sheets and Docs
 Canvas and Bridge (online learning platforms) 
Physical Demands:
ï‚· Capacity to sit or stand stationary for a period of time.
ï‚· Physical ability to use a computer or other electronic device.
ï‚· Manage conversations in person, online and by telephone.
ï‚· Work well under pressure and manage stress well
 

Qualifications:
 For undergraduate teaching, must hold at least a Master’s degree with 18 graduate
credit hours in the field teaching.
ï‚· For graduate teaching, must hold a terminal degree in the business discipline related to
courses taught.
ï‚· Excellent university teaching experience
ï‚· Computer proficient in software and internet-based applications.

ï‚· Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
ï‚· Ability to view and manage role and responsibilities in relation to larger mission, goals
and perspective of the university.
ï‚· Collaborative nature, with the ability to build consensus.
ï‚· Outstanding organizational and project management skills with the ability to consistently
meet deadlines.
ï‚· Self-motivated and solves problems, asking for input and initiating solutions as
appropriate and reasonable.
ï‚· Capacity to quickly learn new software applications.
ï‚· Willingness to receive additional training and/or faculty mentoring.
ï‚· Ability to demonstrate good judgment and discretion when interacting with students,
other faculty and staff.
