OVERVIEW: Manuel Diaz Law Firm, PC. is seeking a dynamic, self-starting individual with vision, initiative, and a demonstrated commitment to serve as a Facilities/Maintenance Technician.

 

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reports to the Facilities Manager.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilities/Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain and repair the office(s) and equipment to ensure the proper functioning and safety of the facility, often by completing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and responding to repair requests as needed. Coordination with outside contractors for larger projects may be conducted.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Performing Routine Inspections of facilities and fixtures. 
  • Identifying and reporting maintenance issues
  • Completing minor repairs to doors, windows, hardware, and furniture.
  • Painting and patching walls, and ceilings 
  • Performing minor carpentry repairs like patching drywall, replacing trim, fixing doors and cabinets.
  • Maintaining and replacing light bulbs.
  • Regularly inspect and service building systems like fire alarms, sprinklers, and elevators.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing basic electrical issues. 
  • Checking and adjusting plumbing fixtures, unclogging drains
  • Maintaining records of maintenance activities. 
  • Respond to Work Orders and completing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Prioritizing maintenance tasks based on urgency
  • Coordinating with outside contractors for complex repairs. 
  • Our firm has offices throughout the DFW Metroplex and an office in San Antonio, therefore, occasional travel may be required.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independent and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to other firm office locations as needed
