Warehouse and Shipping Associate
Reports to: Shipping Manager
Schedule: Monday through Friday (6:30am-3:00pm). Overtime as required; Starting rate dependent upon relevant experience.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Picks product from inventory
- Packs product to customer requirements.
- Inspects completed operations for quality, visual defects, accuracy and quantity.
- Follows all shipping processes, inventory control processes and quality requirements
- Performs labeling duties to ensure proper parts and quantities are being sent to the customer
- Pays close attention to detail and focuses on assigned tasks.
- Cooperates and supports co-workers.
- Follows all safety rules, wears all required PPE, etc.
- Demonstrates strong attention to details, high accuracy, and follow-through.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge:
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (PLEX) is a plus.
- Must have knowledge and experience in inventory control functions.
- Must be able to maintain a safe, clean, environment.
- Must be able to work and function well in a team environment.
- Experience driving a 26' Box Truck a bonus
Physical environment/working conditions:
Works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in warm or cold temperatures. The individual must be able to do the following:
- Understand written/printed material
- Understand and follow verbal instructions
- Speak clearly and articulately
- Actively exchange ideas/thoughts with others
- Check, compare, or copy details
- Use words and ideas to figure out/solve problems that require orderly, logical, thought
- Manipulate small, medium, or large objects, materials, or tools on a frequent basis
- Use arms/legs continually and repeatedly throughout the shift
- Lift up to 40 lbs. continuously throughout the shift
- Apply a specific level of strength to move an object
- Stand for long periods of time throughout the shift
- Move at a fast pace across specified terrain throughout the shift
- Adjust body position while performing tasks
- Must wear eye protection & safety shoes (hearing protection as necessary)
