This opportunity is ideal for a teaching artist, arts educator, or community arts facilitator who operates with a high degree of autonomy, utilizes their own professional judgment, and brings expertise in inclusive and adaptive practices. The Studio Coordinator & Workshop Facilitator will be engaged to support studio-based programming, facilitate workshops, and contribute to community facing arts initiatives. This role requires strong initiative, independent decision making, and consistent communication regarding project status and deliverables.   About Envision Arts: Envision Arts is a year-round creative program of Envision, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to improve the quality of life and provide opportunity and inspiration for people who are blind or visually impaired through employment, outreach, rehabilitation, education, and research. Through inclusive, accessible, and professionally grounded arts programming, Envision Arts advances independence and psychosocial health through creative expression, connection, and community. Participants engage in studio practice, exhibitions, museum partnerships, and expressive arts workshops designed to support rehabilitation and lifelong creative growth.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE Studio Operations & Program Facilitation: Provide workshop leadership and teaching services during scheduled program times. Facilitate Open Art Studio and Production Arts sessions in alignment with program goals. Deliver instruction using appropriate methods, techniques, and expertise across visual and expressive art modalities. Adapt materials and approaches to support individuals who are blind or visually impaired, including those with additional disabilities. Follow established safety and accessibility guidelines while delivering services Curriculum Development & Instruction: Design and implement accessible, multi sensory art programming for various participant groups as part of agreed upon engagements. Develop instructional content using professional expertise, creative approaches, and program guidance. Support development of production based artwork including clay, mixed media, and functional art. Studio Materials & Equipment: Utilize and oversee safe use of studio equipment, including kilns, woodworking tools, and production equipment. Recommend materials or supplies to support workshop delivery. Exhibitions, Artwork Handling & Sales: Support preparation of artwork for exhibitions, installations, and sales opportunities. Assist with inventory tracking, documentation, and general artwork handling practices. Program & Community Engagement: Facilitate workshops connected to Envision programs, including rehabilitation partnerships (e.g., SKIP Program). Participate in community events, workshops, and partnerships. Administrative Coordination: Provide periodic updates regarding program activities, supply needs, and general progress. Coordinate availability and session timing with the Director, Envision Arts. Qualifications                                                                                     JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE Qualifications (Preferred): Background in art education, fine arts, community arts, or related field  Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including visual impairment  Experience with ceramics and studio-based practices  Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects  Minimum Requirements: Must be 18 years or older  Completion of background screening as required  Reliable transportation  Ability to perform physical aspects of studio work  Licenses/Certifications:  NA SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES   Total Number of Employees Directly Supervising: _0  Number of Subordinate Supervisors Reporting to Position: _0    VISION REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE Can be performed with or without assistive technology:   X        Required to perform activities such as: preparing/analyzing data/figures; viewing a computer screen; reading; inspecting small objects for defects; using measuring devices; and/or assembling parts with close eye contact.             Required to perform activities such as: operating machinery and/or power tools at or within arm’s reach; performing non repetitive tasks such as carpentry work or repairing machinery.             Required to review/inspect own assigned work, the work of others, or facilities or structures.
