THIS IS A PRN POSITION FOR DENTON TX AREA
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role focuses on supporting patients with daily living activities, promoting comfort and safety, and assisting the clinical team in delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating .
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with patient mobility, including transfers, repositioning, and ambulation
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment, including changing linens and sanitizing equipment
- Document care provided and update patient records accurately
- Assist nurses and other healthcare professionals with procedures and care tasks
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Texas.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR and proof of auto insurance
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must pass drug test
- Basic knowledge of patient care practices and medical terminology
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions from nursing staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of Point Care charting system preferred but not required.
