Job DetailsJob Location: GSES - Dallas, TX 75229Position Type: Part TimeEducation Level: 2 Year DegreeJob Shift: DaySubstitute Teacher   Reports to:  Division Heads FLSA Qualification:  Non-exempt Position Purpose:  To teach, enrich, and reinforce the grade level/subject curriculum   Essential Functions: Respond to the needs – often with little advance notice – of a classroom, a program, and a group of students missing the full-time teacher; Teach the lesson plan as provided by the absent teacher, the appropriate department chair or the Division Head, allowing – when possible – the class experience to progress rather than simply providing classroom supervision; Support all school policies and procedures. Qualifications: Associates Degree or 60 college hours, required. Experience working with youth in an educational setting, preferred. Ability to carry out  lesson plans and manage students.  Commitment to high ethical professional standards Collegial, enthusiastic, and engaging Committed to valuing, respecting  and upholding the mission of Good Shepherd Episcopal School: Learn with Confidence, Serve with Compassion and Lead with Courage Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. Generally works in standard office conditions and climate. Works in a fast-paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
