Position Overview: 

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Major and Planned Giving Officer will solicit the University's major donor prospects and oversee the Planned Giving Program.

The Major and Planned Gift Officer will identify, qualify, engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective donors, in enhancing their financial support of the priorities of the University. Responsible for meeting annual goals by working with an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects to advance the mission of the organization and assist donors in creating meaning in their lives through outright and planned giving.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience of progressively responsible fundraising experience with a proven track record of actively securing major and planned gifts from individuals.
  • Demonstrated success in revenue generation.
  • Experience cultivating and maintaining productive long-term relationships.

Licenses / Certifications:

  • Current, valid PA driver’s license.

Work-Related Knowledge:

  • Thorough understanding of the elements of a comprehensive development program.
  • Ability to establish creditability and confidence with stakeholders.
