A Senior Project Manager is responsible for guiding complex, large-scale projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with strategic business objectives. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct the procurement and allocation of project resources, including personnel, vendors, and equipment, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Implement a continuous risk management process to identify, assess, and mitigate potential project risks and issues.
  • Define and enforce quality standards for all project deliverables, conducting regular reviews to ensure outcomes align with requirements.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for project teams and stakeholders to resolve conflicts and address critical issues.
  • Lead the hiring, training, and performance management of project team members, providing coaching and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Oversee the formal project closure process, including final deliverable acceptance, documentation archiving, and a post-mortem analysis to identify lessons learned. 


Qualifications

Education: A Senior Project Manager typically possesses a bachelor’s degree, often in fields such as business, finance, marketing, or a related discipline. In some cases, a graduate degree may be preferred. Coursework and degrees in computer science, software engineering, or other technical fields can also be advantageous, depending on the industry.

Experience: To reach the level of a Senior Project Manager, a candidate generally needs between five and ten years of experience in project management. This includes holding progressively responsible roles and demonstrating a track record of successfully leading large and complex projects. Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 38,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 135,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
