Printpack is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Material Handler for the Converting plant in Grand Prairie, TX. The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility, including raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods, while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting production operations. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth facility operations and ensuring materials are available when needed. This will be a 3/2 rotating night shift schedule from 7pm-7am: Sun/Wed/Thurs; Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat.
Key Responsibilities: Â
Operate various types of material handling equipment, primarily forklifts (stand-up and sit-down), safely and efficientlyÂ
Perform daily safety inspections of lift equipment and complete required documentationÂ
Load and unload trucks according to shipping and receiving schedulesÂ
Store and retrieve pallets within the plant, documenting inventory locations using handheld electronic devicesÂ
Stage materials at equipment locations according to production schedulesÂ
Move and manage Work-in-Process (WIP) pallets between machine locations and rack storageÂ
Maintain organized storage areas and implement proper rack numbering systemsÂ
Perform inventory cycle counts and maintainaccurate recordsÂ
Complete all required safety documentation, checklists, and logsÂ
Maintain cleanliness standards through 5S practices, including removal of empty pallets and waste managementÂ
Work in a safe manner
Participate actively in Printpack’sContinuous Improvement ProgramÂ

Education & Experience:    Â
Forklift experience required
Experience in manufacturing or warehousing environment a plusÂ
