RENTAL SHOP Tech

BASIC FUNCTION                                                                 

The Rentals Equipment Tech aids guests in getting the appropriate equipment for their visit to Ragged Mountain. In addition to sizing boots, the Tech II position is responsible for setting up skis and snowboards for the guest after sizing is determined. This includes adjusting bindings for boot size and DIN settings on ski bindings and ensuring appropriate paperwork is completed. Technician is also responsible for informing the guest on the proper use of the equipment.
 

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES                                       
 

• Station set-up and tools.
• Calculate binding settings and perform adjustments for each guest.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the rental manager.
• Check every binding with a boot for each rental.
• Inform each guest how to use the equipment rented.
• Give each guest a return slip and inform guest of ski number.
• Provide services to guests.
                                                                                 

• Knowledge of Skis and Snowboards.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be attentive to detail.
• Must have the ability to adapt to unexpected situations.
• Must be able to remain calm and portray a friendly demeanor in stressful situations.
• Must be able and willing to work weekends and holidays.
