Job Description

Smoky Mountain Guns & Ammo is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Firearms Warehouse Associate to join our warehouse team in Dandridge, TN.

This position will primarily focus on the shipping and receiving of firearms, ammunition, and other products, along with general warehouse duties. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to follow company procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming firearms, ammunition, and other merchandise.
• Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Properly record and process received merchandise.
• Prepare firearms and other products for shipment.
• Package and label outgoing orders accurately and securely.
• Maintain accurate inventory and product records.
• Assist with transfers and movement of firearms between locations as required.
• Pull and organize products for store orders and customer orders.
• Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
• Operate shipping and receiving equipment as needed.
• Assist with general warehouse duties and other tasks assigned by management.
• Follow all company procedures and applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding the handling, shipping, receiving, and transfer of firearms.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, retail, or firearms experience preferred.
• Firearms knowledge is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to accurately handle paperwork and computer-based inventory systems.
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and organize boxes and merchandise.
• Must be legally eligible to work with firearms and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Must be able to pass required background checks.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, organized, hardworking, and takes pride in doing things correctly. Accuracy is extremely important in this position, particularly when handling firearm inventory, shipping and receiving paperwork, and transfers between locations.

Previous firearms experience is helpful, but warehouse and shipping experience combined with a willingness to learn can be just as valuable.
